## testing.accepts_expected()

Whether a backend's [fork](testing.ObjectBackend.md#tether.testing.ObjectBackend.fork), [promote](testing.ObjectBackend.md#tether.testing.ObjectBackend.promote) or [merge](testing.ObjectBackend.md#tether.testing.ObjectBackend.merge) takes the `expected`

Usage

``` python
testing.accepts_expected(method)
```

keyword (see [ObjectBackend.fork()](testing.ObjectBackend.md#tether.testing.ObjectBackend.fork)).

Backends written before 0.1.0b4 do not declare it; the engine calls those without it and their moves are unconditional, as they always were, rather than failing every fork with a `TypeError`.
