## oplog.append_index_entry()

Append one record and sync it (one [write](handles.MemoryHandle.md#tether.handles.MemoryHandle.write) of one line, O_APPEND).

Usage

``` python
oplog.append_index_entry(
    path,
    data,
)
```

A torn final line - an earlier append that was interrupted - has no newline; the new record starts on a fresh line so the fragment stays a fragment (skipped by [read_jsonl](oplog.read_jsonl.md#tether.oplog.read_jsonl)) instead of swallowing this record too.
